The Business Development Manager is responsible for finding and supporting the launch of new products in the company’s portfolio that are congruent with its mission and financial goals (obtaining commercial terms, negotiating, supporting the conclusion of contracts, etc.); building and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships; supporting the company’s marketing and service departments in the most efficient commercialisation of products.

FUNCTIONAL DUTIES:

  • Setting tasks for the loan manager, regulatory specialist and other members of the project team, initial analysis of their input, project management and support of the turnkey contract.
  • Search for partners, including cold contacts.
  • Checking the partner’s documents.
  • Support for the conclusion of a contract, product registration, development and approval of artwork, labelling text, print proofs, order placement, payment, production, delivery and customs clearance of the product.
  • Preparation of additional documentation.
  • Coordinating the work of all related departments and outsourced service managers when working on a project.
  • Building loyal and long-term relationships with partners.
  • Tracking trends and practices in global medicine.
  • Tracking trends and practices in the global, European, CIS and Ukrainian pharmaceutical markets.
  • Assistance in building selective markets for analysis.
  • Multi-factor market analysis.
  • Assessment of the new product’s potential from a business perspective.
  • Formation of independent CONCLUSIONS and recommendations.
  • Preparation of reports as a result of collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends, and business cases.
  • Working in CRM systems.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical business.
  • Marketing experience will be an advantage.
  • Medical and pharmaceutical knowledge.
  • At least 1 year of experience with the functions of a business development manager (not necessarily as a business development manager).
  • Understanding the patient journey.
  • Understanding of the fundamental processes of the pharmaceutical commercial business, various interactions and the impact of external/internal factors on decision-making, sales growth and decline, prescriptions, recommendations, promotional activities, etc.
  • Experience in project work.
  • Ability to strictly meet deadlines.
  • Ability to switch between tasks.
  • Experience of cooperation with foreign partners.
  • History of managing successful projects.
  • Experience in fulfilling its obligations.

EDUCATION:

  • University degree in medicine, pharmacy or marketing.
