Position Overview:
NPA is seeking a fluent English-speaking Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Conflict Preparedness and Protection (CPP) Officer. This role requires experience in coordination and planning of humanitarian projects, field operations oversight, project deliverable monitoring, and training. The ideal candidate should have a background in project implementation, education, protection, or related fields, and possess knowledge of information management and operational data analysis.
The position is based in Mykolaiv with extensive travel of Ukraine — at least ½ of the time traveling.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the NPA Ukraine Operations Coordinator (OC) and implement both Explosive Ordanance Risk Education (EORE) and Conflict Preparedness and Protection (CPP) releated tasks under the direction of the OC.
- Represent the NPA Ukraine as EORE and CPP focal point in project implementation with a partner organisation.
- Coordinating all NPA Ukraine-supported EORE and CPP partner activities in Ukraine, including (but not limited to) partner procurement, logistics, human resources, field operations, and monitoring, learning and evaluation.
- Monitoring of key project data in coordination with, and with support from, NPA Ukraine’s Information Management (IM) team.
- Monitor and communicate EORE/CPP project deliverables with a partner organsiation based on the defined Project objectives and goals. Project objectives.
- Conduct Quality Control (QC) visits of all EORE/CPP field projects.
- Responsible for planning, overseeing, organizing and coordinating all EORE and CPP field operations and related activities in the Ukraine, implemented by a partner organisation, and by NPA teams directly, under the supervision of the Ukraine OC.
- Assisting in the development of NPA Ukraine’s EORE and CPP frameworks,SOPs, methologies, safety messages, training approaches, and materials.
- Support the NPA Ukraine country programme with coordination and liaison with national and international stakeholders as tasked by the OC.
- Organize and deliver EORE and CPP training activities, primarily focused on the provision of Training-of-Trainers (ToT) to partner beneficiaries.
- Prepare internal and external reports, analysis and data under the direction of the OC.
- Any other reasonable task, conducive to the safe and efficient running of the programme, as detailed by the NPA Ukraine OM and/or OC.
Required qualifications:
- Three years experience within the humanitarian sector.
- Experience in project planning, implementation, follow up and proven analytical skills is essential.
- Experience in planning and conducting trainings in the field.
- Practical experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Working knowledge of Ukraine, understanding of its social, political, security, and economic context.
- Sound understanding of project cycle management in international development.
- Written & verbal proficiency in English is required.
- Very good computer skills essential.
- Valid driving licence.
- Experience of using GIS an advantage.
- Experience in mine action an advantage.
Must have:
- At least an undergraduate degree in a related field.

What we offer:
- Monthly salary of USD 2000 before taxes. This salary shall be payable in Ukrainian Hryvnia at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine on the date of payment.
